In the midst of the storm, when the wind howls loudly and your boats fills with water it seems you could sink any moment, let the words of Psalm 130:5 and Psalm 131:2-3 comfort you:
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
And in His word I do hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
More than those who watch for the morning--
Yes more that those who watch for the morning
Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother
Like a weaned child is my soul within me
O Isreal, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever
Wait. God will deliver you. He will not let you sink
I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
And in His word I do hope.
My soul waits for the Lord
More than those who watch for the morning--
Yes more that those who watch for the morning
Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a weaned child with his mother
Like a weaned child is my soul within me
O Isreal, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever
Wait. God will deliver you. He will not let you sink
